Prior to her doctoral pursuits, Ms. Jacob earned a Master’s Degree in “Linguistics & English Language Studies” at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2012, expanding her understanding of linguistic nuances and language structures. Her academic journey commenced with a Post-Graduate Diploma in “Professional Translation” at The Islamic University of Gaza, highlighting her commitment to bridging language gaps through precise and professional translation skills.

🎓 Driven by a profound commitment to advancing education and language studies, my academic journey is a testament to my unwavering dedication. I earned my Ph.D. in “English Language Curricula and Teaching Methods” from The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) from 10/08/2017 to 10/08/2020. This doctoral pursuit marked a significant chapter in my quest for enhancing language education.

📘 Prior to my Ph.D., I pursued a Master’s Degree in “Linguistics & English Language Studies” at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) from 10/12/2010 to 16/08/2012. This period of intensive study broadened my understanding of linguistic nuances and language structures, laying the foundation for my scholarly endeavors.

📜 My academic journey at The Islamic University of Gaza began with a Post-Graduate Diploma in “Professional Translation” from 10/08/2007 to 10/09/2009, showcasing my commitment to bridging language gaps through precise and professional translation skills.

📚 Rooted in my passion for literature, I attained a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from The Islamic University of Gaza from 11/08/2004 to 14/08/2007. This educational milestone deepened my appreciation for the richness of literary expression.

PROFESSIONAL   EXPERIENCE:

👩‍🏫 As an Assistant Professor of English Language at The University College of Applied Sciences since 19/07/2004, I have been a dedicated educator, imparting knowledge in various general English courses and ESP courses. My passion for fostering language skills extends to co-founding and serving on the Board of Directors at E-Global Academy since 04/04/2020. In this role, I am a certified online trainer, leading courses in English and e-learning, contributing significantly to the Women bridge to E-work project.

💡 Holding the position of Research Associate in the Culture for Sustainable and Inclusive Peace (CUSP) Network Plus at the University of Glasgow since 18/03/2020, I have actively contributed to impactful research endeavors. My responsibilities include planning, conducting research, documenting outputs, and presenting findings at international conferences.

🌐 Additionally, I have excelled in managerial roles, serving as the Head of UCAS Languages Center from 10/08/2014 to 10/09/2016 and later as the Vice Head of Humanities Department at The University College of Applied Sciences from 15/08/2012 to 15/08/2014. During these periods, I showcased strong leadership skills, ensuring academic excellence and strategic development.

🏆 Notably, my commitment to educational innovation was recognized when my team won the DigiEduHack for Palestine event in 2020. Our proposal for the Home Tutor platform earned accolades in this global competition focused on improving the learning experience. With over 15 years of experience as an International Trainer, ESP trainer, and School Teacher of English, I continue to contribute significantly to the field of English language education. 👩‍🎓
