🌱 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Demir is a distinguished Agricultural Engineer specializing in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition. Graduating from Ondokuz Mayıs University, she pursued her academic journey, culminating in a Ph.D. in 2012, and attained the prestigious title of Associate Professor in the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition in 2021. 🌾 Throughout her career, she has been at the forefront of soil research and innovation, contributing significantly to projects spanning various areas such as Soil-Water-Plant Relationships, Soil Quality, Waste Management, and Organic Agriculture. 🌿 Currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Soil Water Journal and holding the position of R&D Engineer at the Soil Fertilizer and Water Resources Central Research Institute in Ankara, Turkey, she continues to lead groundbreaking initiatives. 🌍 Notably, Zeynep is actively involved in the “Soil Organic Carbon Sequestration Potential of European Agricultural Soils (CarboSeq)” project under the European Union Agricultural Soil Management European Joint Program (EJP SOIL), demonstrating her commitment to advancing sustainable agricultural practices.
