🎓 In 2003, he successfully earned his Ph.D. in Health Policy and Management from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD. His dissertation delved into the critical examination of school implementation of immunization requirements. He sought to understand the factors associated with a child claiming exemptions or the occurrence of school-based outbreaks of measles or pertussis, exploring the impact of both school policies and personnel in this context. Prior to this, in 1996, he attained his Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta, GA. His thesis at that time focused on the health consequences of religious and philosophical exemptions from immunization laws, analyzing both individual and societal risks associated with measles. His academic journey began in 1991 when he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. 📚 This diverse educational background reflects his commitment to understanding and addressing public health challenges, particularly in the context of immunization policies and their implications.
