Dr. Dumisani Hompashe is a distinguished economist and educator with a rich background in academia, research, and professional service. He currently serves as the Deputy Head of the Department of Economics at the University of Fort Hare, where he also coordinates the Economics Honours program. Dr. Hompashe holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Stellenbosch, where his research focused on accountability and service delivery in education and healthcare in South Africa. His expertise lies in health economics, economics of education, program impact evaluation, and development economics.
