In my role as ‘Docent 3’ at Radboud University’s Centre for Language Studies since November 2021, I have seamlessly blended empirical and philosophical research to explore the realms of reasoning and social epistemology, with a focus on pertinent issues like misinformation, rationality, and motivated reasoning. š§ My scholarly contributions include publications such as “The skeptical import of motivated reasoning: a closer look at the evidence” in Thinking & Reasoning (Q1, 2023) and “Advancing the debate on the consequences of misinformation: clarifying why itās not (just) about false beliefs” in Inquiry (Q1, 2023). Currently, I have a paper under review at Philosophical Psychology titled “Misinformation, observational equivalence and the possibility of rationality.” š Simultaneously, I’ve been actively engaged in shaping the academic landscape through teaching, offering insightful lectures and seminars across various courses like Conscious & Unconscious Processes, Philosophical Reflection, and more. š Passionate about fostering intellectual growth, I’ve collaborated in developing innovative courses on communication and social epistemology, including ‘Misinformation & Beliefs’ and ‘Resistance to Persuasion.’ š Moreover, my commitment extends to guiding and supervising theses for both bachelor’s and master’s students in Communication and Information Sciences.
