Dr. Mayas Nadim Ahmad Taha is an accomplished professional in the field of architecture, specializing in architectural design, heritage conservation, and urban design. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (COEA), Department of Architecture and Interior Architecture (AIA) at Al-Yamamah University, Riyadh, KSA, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
Dr. Taha earned her Ph.D. in architecture from the University of Damascus in 2017, with a research focus on the intricate relationship between architectural and urban heritage preservation and urban development, using Damascus as a case study. She also holds an MSC in Architecture, awarded in 2012, where her research delved into the transitional zones surrounding heritage centers. Her extensive educational background reflects her commitment to advancing the understanding of architectural design, heritage conservation, urban planning, and landscape design.
Before joining Al-Yamamah University, Dr. Taha commenced her academic career in 2009 at the University of Damascus, subsequently contributing her expertise to AL-Yarmouk Private University and AL-Etihad Private University. Throughout her academic journey, she taught courses in architecture design, landscape and site planning, architectural conservation, and the history of architecture. Driven by a passion for education, she held administrative positions at Damascus University and actively supervised various projects while organizing and leading workshops and activities.

During her work at Al-Yamamah University, she taught many architectural design courses and urban design courses, while actively contributing to the preservation and evolution of Riyadh’s rich architectural heritage.
