🏥 My professional journey has been a rich tapestry woven with diverse experiences and notable achievements. Beginning as an intern at Wonju Severance Christian Hospital in 1999, I embarked on a path of practical learning and skill development. Transitioning into residency from 2000 to 2004, I deepened my expertise in Internal Medicine within the same institution. My dedication to service led me to fulfill my military obligation at Zaytun Hospital in Iraq from 2004 to 2007. 🎖️ Following this, I expanded my horizons internationally, serving as a Visiting Professor at Toranomon Hospital in Tokyo, Japan, in 2008. Upon my return, I delved into gastroenterology research as a Research Fellow at Wonju Severance Christian Hospital, while also actively contributing to professional societies such as The Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. 🌐 As my career progressed, I embraced opportunities for scholarly engagement, serving as a post-Doctor Research Scholar at Columbia University and assuming editorial roles in esteemed journals like Clinical and Molecular Hepatology, Gut and Liver, and World Journal of Gastroenterology. 📚 Additionally, my commitment to advancing knowledge in liver disease is evident through my involvement in organizations such as APASL, KASL, and the Korean Liver Cancer Association. In 2016, I found my home as a Professor of Gastroenterology at Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University, where I also hold leadership positions and contribute to the development of the Microbiome center. 🌟 My journey is a testament to my passion for medicine, research, and academic leadership, driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence in gastroenterology and hepatology.
