PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :

Commencing my postdoctoral tenure at the University of Pennsylvania in July 2023 has proven to be an immensely enriching venture, highlighted by my role as a Postdoctoral Fellow. 🎓 In this capacity, my primary focus revolves around cultivating the indispensable skills and competencies that will serve as the building blocks for my evolution into an independent investigator, nurturing both personal and professional development. Concurrently, my steadfast dedication to advancing the field is exemplified through my role as a manuscript reviewer for Psychology, Health & Medicine. In this responsibility, I actively contribute to the peer-review process, ensuring the caliber of scholarly publications within the field.

My commitment to the intersection of public health and academia extends further, as evidenced by my service as an abstract reviewer for the American Public Health Association (APHA) in April 2023. Actively participating in the evaluation of conference presentation submissions, this engagement underscores my dedication to staying current with the latest research and contributing to the dissemination of invaluable knowledge within the public health community. 👥

Preceding my current academic pursuits, I honed my clinical expertise in diverse healthcare settings. During October 2021, I served as a flu shot nurse at Apple Flu Clinics in Austin, TX. Moreover, my experiences as a Float Pool Registered Nurse at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, HI (January 2019 – July 2019), and as a Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, and Reverse Mentor for the CEO at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX (October 2016 – December 2018), equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare dynamics and instilled a profound passion for patient-centered care. 💉

These varied experiences have not only sculpted my professional journey but have also fueled my unwavering commitment to making meaningful contributions to both healthcare and research. I am eagerly anticipating further opportunities to seamlessly amalgamate my clinical expertise with my academic pursuits, fostering innovation and effecting positive change within the healthcare landscape. 🌟
