🎓 Education :

🎓 In August 2006, we proudly earned our PhD in Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association. Under the guidance of our dedicated chair, Dr. Pamela Knox, PhD, HSP, we conducted an enlightening dissertation titled “Cross-Cultural Perceptual Differences Among African-American, Caucasian, and Greek-Cypriot College Students.” This research delved into the intricacies of cultural perspectives among diverse student populations. 📚PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

👩‍🏫 As Associate Professors at Neapolis University Pafos in Cyprus since December 2019, we have actively contributed to the School of Health Sciences, Psychology department. Our responsibilities encompass a dynamic blend of teaching, research, and service. We instruct both undergraduate and graduate-level courses, specializing in areas such as Psychology of Sexuality, Multicultural Counseling for psychologists and educators, Practicum, and Group Supervision. Engaging in research, our focus spans multicultural psychology, body image, and eating disorders. Additionally, we play a pivotal role in coordinating the MSc in Counseling Psychology program, overseeing practicum placements, and supervising graduate and doctoral students. As part of our commitment to academic governance, we serve as members of the Senate, Library, and Quality Assurance Committees at Neapolis University.

👨‍🏫 Prior to our current roles, we held the position of Assistant Professors at Neapolis University Pafos from October 2015 to December 2019. During this period, our responsibilities mirrored those of our subsequent roles, including teaching, research, and service. We actively participated in the development and coordination of the MSc Counseling Psychology program, demonstrating our dedication to advancing education and contributing to the academic community.

📚 Previously, as Lecturers and Counseling Center Directors at Neapolis University Pafos from April 2011 to October 2015, we continued to fulfill our duties with a focus on teaching, research, and service, mirroring the responsibilities of the Assistant Professor role. This consistent commitment underscores our passion for fostering academic and personal growth in students.

🌐 In addition to our roles at Neapolis University, we served as Adjunct Lecturers at various institutions in Cyprus, including The University of Nicosia, The European University Cyprus, and The University of Cyprus. These experiences allowed us to share our knowledge in courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Cultural Psychology, and Research Methods and Statistics.

👥 As Instructors at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, from August 2002 to August 2005, we contributed to undergraduate education by teaching courses in Statistics, Research Methods, Human Growth and Learning, Stress Management, and Abnormal and Social Psychology.

🌐 Furthermore, our dedication to the field extended beyond traditional academic roles. As Consultants/Presenters at the Florida State University Counseling Center from August 2005 to August 2006, we collaborated with colleagues to provide essential presentations and consultations to college students on various topics, promoting mental health and well-being.

💬 Collaborating closely with other staff from the Counseling Center, these experiences allowed for a holistic approach to student support, covering diverse issues such as Stress Management, Time Management, Conflict Resolution, Problem Solving, Assertiveness, Study Skills, Healthy Relationships, and Sexual Assault Prevention. Together, we aimed to create a supportive and enriching environment for the college community.
