Dr. Manorama Patri’s research focuses on understanding neuronal damage in brain disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, Schizophrenia, and epilepsy. She investigates the impact of environmental stress on neuronal damage and explores neuroprotection measures using probiotics and phytochemicals. Her work has led to significant findings on phytochemical-mediated Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) activity in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease and the neuroprotective potential of phytochemicals. She utilizes multidisciplinary approaches including behavioral analysis, oxidative stress mechanism, protein expression, and pharmacological interventions to improve drug treatment outcomes.
